28 years after she moved on to prepare for the arrival of the rest of us, I still find myself quietly apologising to her for messing some liquid on her 'sideboard'. This piece of furniture was one of her treasures and if you were caught not respecting it as she did, you would certainly be up for a tongue lashing. Mommy would always keep us in check, but you knew it was for your own good and she always 'had your back'.
A lesser know fact about her love for her family was on many occasion I remember entering their bedroom in the evenings only to find one or both of them on their knees praying for their much loved family. This love and dedication to a living God I believe has much to do with the love we cherish so dearly in our extended family today. That same God she spoke to every night, is still with us today and hears our prayers too. What a privilege and a blessing only few ever get to experience. Thank you Mommy and Daddy !
